Poirot-Event bei ITV3

[Japp]

2009 marks the 20th anniversary of David Suchet's portrayal of Hercule Poirot. Though Agatha Christie sadly never saw David in the role, for many he is now synonymous with the Belgian detective.

This weekend viewers can enjoy some of the best Poirot films on ITV3 starting on Thursday with After the Funeral at 8pm. Also shown this week will be: Death on the Nile, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, The ABC Murders, Lord Edgware Dies, The Mystery of the Blue Train, Sad Cypress and, on Sunday, Mrs McGinty's Dead. Danke Japp!! Ausnahmsweise wußte ich es auch mal.
Habe es in "RT" (Radio Times) gelesen.

Suchet sagt in dem von Dir zitierem Bericht (bei Digital Spy), daß dieses Jahr 4, dann noch 6 Filme übrig blieben.
D.h. doch aber, daß die "Arbeiten des Herkules" nicht verfilmt werden. Dies wäre ja für sich eine Miniserie von 12 Episoden. Ich hätte mir ja so gewünscht, sie hätten dies im Stile von 1991 mit Hastings und Ms Lemon gemacht.
Was meinst Du/Ihr?

Elephants can remember -- darauf freue ich mich sehr. Ähnlich wie Sad Cypress in der filmischen Umsetzung.

Man kann ja die ersten und die letzten Arbeiten zu jeweils einem Film zusammenschnipseln.

Ist dann eh' alles ein "griechischer" Aufwasch

Tommy und Tuppence erstes Buch ist ja eigentlich auch eine Ansammlung mehrerer kleiner Geschichten und ein Buch/Film. Wäre möglich, aber unwahrscheinlich. Vielleicht kommt jemand bei der Neuauflage im Fernsehen im Jahre 2020 auf den Gedanken. Schrecklicher Gedanke.

Das Erbe der Familie Lemesurier ist doch eine Kurzgeschichte, aber eine längere, wenn ich mich recht erinnere. Dann sind alle Kurzgeschichte außer den 12 Arbeiten verfilmt worden?
Schon ein richtiger Epos dann! Alle Suchet DVDs sind ja auch schon imposant als ich sie wieder mal alle nebeneinander im Gschaäft in Torquay gesehen habe. Kann Suhet stolz drauf sein, fast ein Lebenswerk (aber auch gutes Geld verdient ). Eine Rolle einstudiert, viele Filme gemacht.

Leider läßt er sich auf solche "Späße" wie Poirot-Kostüm überhaupt nicht ein. Bei einer Promotion-Reise in den USA wollten die ganzen amerikanischen Fernsehsender, daß er im Kostüm erscheint, hat er aber allen verweigert. Dafür ist er nicht zu haben.
Treffen ist kein Problem, wenn du ihn beim Theaterspielen siehst und ihn anschließend am Bühnenausgang abfängst. Die andere Art von Treffen, auf die Agarallo anspielt...die wird nicht verraten.

"Stille vor dem Sturm" könnt ihr wahrscheinlich vergessen, weil das nur eine abgewandelte Form von "Murder in the Mews" ist. Es fehlen an Kurzgeschichten nur noch "Das Erbe der Familie Lemsurier" und Die "Arbeiten des Herkules". Außer man bringt auch noch die ursprüngliche Geschichte "Problem at Pollensa Bay" (danke, Mark ) mit ins Spiel. Alle anderen sind einfach nur Variationen von bereits verfilmten Geschichten. Und die Frage ist, ob man "Black Cofee" auch verfilmt, weil das ebenfalls nur eine Mischung aus "Affair at Styles" und "Dead Man's Mirror" ist.

Sollte ich dieses Jahr wieder das Glück zu einem Treffen haben, werde ich fragen. Versprochen.

Mir ging es ja auch vielmehr um die Ankündigung, nächstes Jahr 6 Filme zu drehen.

Bei 4 Filmen wäre alles klar gewesen.
